    Euro/ROW Gauge Question

    Hi All

I have my gauges at Nth Hollywood for restoration and I'm converting my Sporto temp gauge to S spec. My car is an Australian (metric) delivery, but should be pretty close to ROW spec... Should my temperature gauge read in Celsius or Fahrenheit, and pressure in BAR or PSI?

    Cheers

    Hi John,

My 1970 car has Euro S-spec gauges. From left to right:

    1. Combo "Tank" (R, 2/4, 4/4) & "Oel" (5, 6, 8 liters)
    2. Combo "Temp" (50, 80, 100, 120, 150C) & "Druck" (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 Bar)
    3. Tach
    4. Speedo (km/h)
    5. Clock

I'd attach a picture, but whenever I do that here my posts get quarantined. I can email or PM you one.

    Cheers,
    Mike

    John

My Australian delivered 73 with S gauges have the temp 50 to 150 (must be C but it does not say it) and pressure (marked "Druck") up to 10 bar as per mikes above

However i am not sure if these changed over time in Australia, if mine was a replacement, or both types were delivered as I have seen Australian delivered cars with S gauges in Fahrenheit temp and pressure gauge marked "press" with the scale from 0 up to 140

    Thank you both!

I guess I have the luxury of specifying what I like Harmut at NH Speedo has either available... I'll go with C/BAR based on my school lernin'

    Thanks Peter

I've asked for Celsius gradients on the temp gauge, but given the pressure is reading happily in PSI, I figured I'd leave it alone...
