    SWB chassis dimension diagrams

    Hi all,

I am new to this forum and looking for scans of the chassis dimensions for SWB cars (yes, I searched to no avail). I am almost certain these were contained in the early workshop manuals to check factory spec. using various pick up points on the chassis.

I found the LWB versions and have scans of those if anyone would like. If you cannot post them here please feel free to email me: kmcsharry at meridianTL dot com.

As my lightweight turbo project wraps up I am very interested starting on a SWB car. My thinking is to find a suitable chassis or roller and build a Celette type chassis jig to be used for checking spec. and preforming rust repairs whilst providing a solid rolling platform for the initial stages of the build/restoration.

Hopefully it won’t be quite as complex as this:

I have them in the chassis/body/paint section of the manual, however they are loooong pages that fold up to fit. I dont think it will fit my scanner to post :/

Let me see if i can just take a picture of it big enough to read..

I have just seen your e-mail address and will scan a copy for you.

It may be cost effective to buy a set of brackets from either Celette or Car Bench and they do have an SWB Bracket Set.

It may also be possible to download chassis data from the Car Bench website but there is a fee for this.

Why go to the trouble? Take it to Damon at Series900 in Sunapee, NH, he has a Celette and many, many years of SWB experience.
