Please set me straight on 67s steering wheels....

Was just offered a wood wheel that had a 67 stamp on the back from someone we all know and trust.

In 1967 was this wheel offered for a 911S?

    67s

I wish the wooden wheel was still a 'no cost' option on the S

I'm fairly sure that the '67' stamped on the central aluminium hub is not a date code for the wheel though ...

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
