    1973 RS Option Code Question

Hey guys, have an interesting assignment from a family friend - to sell his 73 carrera rs

Have decoded all the options except code 256. Any idea what that is?

Will list on this site in for sale section as soon as I can get some more details together.

    Hi Mike,

Did you get the option codes for your friend's RS from the Carrera RS book or is it from a Certificate of (un)Authenticity from PCA? I am poking fun at the CoA because most of them are incorrect for our early 911s. If you don't have a copy of the book and would like information on the RS let me know and I would glad to forward the information from there.

I am looking forward to seeing photos of the RS when you post it for sale.

Ha, yeah, the option codes are from a framed drawing of the car that the owner has in his office. Going to get some pics/specifics this afternoon.

Please let me know if you have any specific pic requests while I'm with the car.

Well since you will be creating a for sale ad you will no doubt take the usual exterior and interior shots, along with engine and front trunk shots. I would also take large, detailed photos of the AL VIN plate, VIN stamping in the front trunk, as well as engine type and serial number. Oh paint tag too would be good.

If you send me the VIN via PM I can give you the correct options and interior material along with confirming the engine and trans serial number.
