Solex 40 PI: how can I replace the original crimped fuel lines for my '65 911 300278

    Hi There,

I've been trying to get my early '65 911 VIN 300278 back in roadworthy condition. The car ran well, but there was a fuel leak in one of the Solex carbs. When I tried to remove a fuel line, the brittle rubber line shattered in my hand! This car still has all the original crimped fuel lines from 1965!

I plan to send off my carbs and mechanical fuel pump to Bieker Engineering in Oregon to be rebuilt, but how can the fuel lines be replaced? The rubber portion of the lines doesn't appear to be replaceable, and I'm sure new ones are unobtainable. Does anybody rebuild the lines with new rubber?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Jay
