I would interested also to know if this was the case. My understanding was the RSH and Sport (M471) model only had one horn and the Touring model had the series production dual horn setup. The horn types varied depending on what market they were headed to also.

    RS LW horn

    Hi Todd, Bryan et all,

Here's a picture of a part of the horn mounted on a RS LW which is currently under construction. Not sure if it is original....Sorry I don't have the complete horn on it,

    Rgds, Cees

I wonder if "waffle" horn could be referring to the Bosch "Sport Fanfaren" (AKA "banjo") horns that were used from '72-'73 on 911s (and I'm told 914-6GT)?
There are a couple of good horn threads in the archives if you search.

If you're looking for the black one as posted above, I may have a nice pair up for sale soon.

    Hi Kent,

That is style I pictured when Todd mentioned a 'waffle' horn.

    Hi Cees,

Thanks for the photo. I don't have any photos of horns in my RS data base so I really don't know what would have been used. I do know that some markets had different styles due to noise restrictions. I should get some photos of the horns in my car as it was a delivered to the Swiss market with noise restrictions for horns.
