64-65' 911 door latches activated by cables?

I just found out about this one. I just checked the latches on my doors and they are dated 66' and must have been changed out. Anyone know how long Porsche built doors with cable lock mechanism instead of rods. Cables seem like a really bad idea. Please post pictures.

    Thanks

Hey Casey, #301111 has rods. Never heard that one about cables.

    Richard,

Not real familar with 356 cable bascally it was wire that looped around the handle and latch mech. and was connected with a crimp at the end. I might have some pictures on another computer I will check later.
