Quicksix, always been a sucker for orange 914s and with those flares, it's a stunner. Keep us posted on mods or....

Here's a couple pics of my 1974 from last year's Motherlode 400 vintage car rally. Besides the obvious cosmetic changes, it has a euro spec 2.0 four cylinder engine with headers and a custom Tangerine Racing exhaust. 5 lug conversion with 911 front brakes and Koni adjustable shocks with 180 lb springs and larger torsion bars. No interior shots, but I've kept it peridot correct wit Corbeau seats, Momo Prototipo wheel, etc. It is light weight and a blast to drive, I just need to get it out more.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I was recently approached by the current owner of my first 914 (a 1973 six conversion) to see if I wanted to buy the car back. After a bit of negotiation I cut the check.

The car used to have a 2.4S MFI stroker motor, close ratio gear box, Koenig driver's seat, and 7" Fuchs all the way around ... the motor, wheels and seat are gone, but the rest of the car is still there. Heck, it still has the same license plate it did when I sold it; the guy never registered the car!

Hopefully it'll be here in a week or so ... it's coming out of Pittsburgh.

It's a very sentimental purchase ... I drove this car to my high school prom.
