    removal of dash on a 73 911

    Hi.
I am helping a friend who is evaluating some early 911 coupes. These cars all have the common crack in the dash. Is there a previous post that cover's removal and replacement of the dash? Can the dash cover be taken out with the windshield in the car or do you have to pull the glass?

    Thanks in advance.

You are talking about a small job (WS) that makes a large job (dash) much easier. Not to mention if the PO or the factory put in the screws (like the leather dashes had) by the defroster, then it is manditory to remove the WS.

The windshield has to come out. The leading edge of the dash boards are screwed in. gled
