    Heat Exchanger identification

Looking for any information on this type of heat exchanger, make, period, application?

(I have found one thread from 2008 that suggests that some looking very similar to these may have been made by a company called "Three Industries"?)

Thanks in advance for any input.

Andy - Thanks for that, I had a message from Tom (Flunder) last night saying exactly the same thing (thanks Tom), so looks like Triad Industries is the answer.

I don't know what I would ever use them for but does anyone have any idea what period they were available and did they have any specific application or were they just a general aftermarket part?

    Triad

Definitely a set of Triads - have just removed a pair from my 72T:

Frankly they worked very well with plenty of heat so no complaints.

They were built like a furnace boiler! Shouldn't be any rust issues. Before John Daniels (no relation to Jack) manufactured the S.S.I. exchangers you had a lot of folks (Triad included) who thought they had a solution. There is really no substitute for the quality of John's product. I wouldn't consider a factory supplied exchanger (Dansk). From what I understand the Dansk stainless mufflers use mild steel internally. The outside may not corrode but the guts sure will if this is the case.

I am with Tom on this. The SSI's are beautiful. The Triads look like primitive stock heat exchangers with the heat pockets cut away to make headers. So do the Triads actually provide any heat to the cabin?
