    Retractable Britax Harnesses (black)

Here are a pair of retractable britax harnesses, in need of restoring.

the better looking one has two big frays in it and needs rewebbing. The Other one is solid, but looks pretty tired and needs new labels/tags (which show up on ebay frequently). Harnesses come with original retractors; i recommend having them looked at as they are not catching/locking when pulled hard, but shouldn't be a difficult fix for anyone who repairs vintage seat belts. they retract fine, with no problems.

    NEW PRICE $250

covers yes, but these are slightly different than what you had and never came from the factory with locking cables. I have a second set that came with these that work perfectly, and there is no evidence of ever having a locking cable. since the two pairs came together, im inclined to say they are just a slightly different model than yours.

I think we should have a separate post on the forum with pictures and info on all these vintage seatbelts like britax, repa, autoflug.
There are so many little differences in these that its becoming a science in itself.

Anyway, these vintage Britax belts are a lovely addition to the early sports purpose 911, but easily become an addiction too.

yes, there are a number of variations, I have been digging in myself to try to learn a lot of them. they are pretty hard to find too. whoever gets this will have a really unique period set up.

Harry needs to sell these so he can redo his suspension since he cannot take from the parts car wedding fund. If Harry cannot buy parts to redo his suspension, Cornpanzer will forever make fun of him for his 4x4 ride height. Needless to say these have got to go.

Therefor, Harry is open to reasonable offers (or advice since obviously it was hard to find a good price for this).

lastly, please ignore the fact that Harry is talking in the third person...

oh and you should check out his blog sometime.. some good stuff lately.
