    Holt Motorsport - '73 T FS

Nice looking '73 T FS at Holt Motorsport in West Chester, PA

I've sold a car to Tim Holt in the past.....he's a straight shooter / honest guy. He typically doesn't deal in early 911's so I was surprised to see this on his website....he specializes in low mileage 993's and 964's. I sent him an email asking what the price was and if the mileage was 38K or 138K but haven't heard back.

    Interesting color Gold Metallic....

I know the car. At one time I was an interested buyer when it was available at another dealer. The car had undergone a very, very through looking refresh. I believe when I was looking the asking price had just been lowered from $35k to $32.5. I have no idea what it actually sold for, but at the time the pictures were exhaustive and showed a VERY nice car.

Strange that a year later it's seen obvious mileage and yet is in another dealer's hands.

    GLWS,
    -Mike

wasn't this car at Hershey a couple of years ago?

I bet Tim is asking around $50k for the car, just a guess. He is a nice guy/straight shooter and is respected in 993 circles. He has a reputation of making right on cars that have issues pop up, sometimes well after purchase.

I've never seen a CIS car with chrome bumperettes, but a swap back to factory specs shouldn't be too hard.

Tim drove a maroon long hood in Boston (late 70s) when we went to College ..... like any long term businessman He has his fans and detractors..... I had a very easy transaction when I sold a car to him....

Listing states that the car has 38k mile. That must be 38k after the restoration. Can't imagine anyone stripping an original 38k miles car down to bare metal for a repaint.

Remember, these were the early days of clear coat (we called them dual phase at the time) paint jobs. It was the metallics that got the clear coat and the clear coat was cracking in as little as 3 years after delivery. Many newish cars were repainted at the importer's expense. My silver '73.5 was losing its clear coat by 1977.

So yes, it is possible for a low mile gold car to need a complete repaint despite low miles.

Just spoke to Tim and car is going back to Germany. Sold for 33,000 on Friday. Was not a numbers matching motor and had a few non original things that were not right with the car. Paint was not one of them had an excellent repaint.

Yes....it was just sold. Tim sold it to a dealer friend In Germany.....so it's going back home. It was sold for the low $30's....which sounds like a very good deal.

Tim also commented that the Germans are buying whatever 964's they can get their hands on right now....apparently they're a hot commodity.
