    rags in the motor

I took off the Webers today and was advised to cover the intakes but not with " cotton waste " . What does that mean and what is the safe material to plug the intake holes? Chris

Nup. It's real aluminum with a sticky back (very thin and tough). I buy it from my local hardware shop... looks just like a roll of silver tape.
