i think peter put it best as "it could be"
the information i have on 0865 is that "The car was delivered new to Peter Gregg at Brumos in early May 1973 and then sold immediately to Hector Rebaque in Mexico. "
and from the information at the RM auction in Monaco in 2010 that maybe Gregg raced it to a podium position in a 1974 Mexican 6 hour race for Rebaque

I have always struggled to tie down the chassis numbers used by Brumos / painted in their colours for a race at that time and i think there is also confusion about how many cars Rebaque had. I am sure that confusion is not accidental.

to me it is surprising how little hard information about its history was revealed at the auction (unless i missed it)

according to racingsportscars 0865 was car #11 at the daytona 3hour in april 1973 (no livery disclosed) and was entered by Brumos at the watkins glen 6 hour in July that year as car 58 in Brumos colours but did not show up

so it is entirely likely that it was in Brumos livery at that time which narrows the odds but is hardly conclusive

Thank you for your post. I am considering buying #865. I have a copy of a Letter from Brumos, dated from the late seventies, that confirms that the car was in the IMSA starlight race in April '73. The Second Leber after Hector Rebaque was Manfredo Lippmann. This is also confirmed by Brumos. Do you know who Gould help me with Photos from the IMSA Rades from 1973, where the car appeared. Thanks.

Do some research too, there are some errors in these books.
