    Question Blaupunkt Berlin Gooseneck Radio

My 1973 911 has the above radio but no radio is listed on the COA. Were these available as a dealer installed option in 1973?

I don't believe those were available in '73. Later style, late '70 or early '80s I'd say.

Late 70's early 80's, referring to the Gooseneck portion.

Look at the foot pedals. Gotta be GM. I am guessing Pontiac from the fonts of the gauges.

I remember seeing them for the first time on parked cars in Paris when I lived there in 1974 & 1975, although not on a Porsche but in a Matra-Simca Bagheera! I always thought these radios were pretty cool and have two now in my personal collection (in storage) which I acquired 15 years ago at swap meets here in the states. They had an unusual gadget (microphone) which allowed you to record notes to yourself. Even late into the 1980's I saw a brand new Berlin radio for sale at a Duty-Free Shop at an airport in Germany. They (Blau) later came with a Equalizer control on the same type of gooseneck, but the Berlin unit was the ultimate cat's meow in 'at-your-fingertip' radio ergonomics back in its day!
