    [QUOTE=indienestmonnom;838632]Apparently ... So here we probably are, with the 118 2 0472 !

    Bingo - the difference in colour shades between Monte-plate and car seems to indicate Blutorange quite clearly. I agree with that.

    Especially when you look at an original period Monte plate - it's just "normal" red, not particularly dark.

    Hallo Fred, ich habe einen Scheel wie er im 67er Monte Auto als Beifahrersitz verbaut war (nicht zu verkaufen), aber falls Du Infos brauchst kann ich da evtl. helfen.
    Falls Du irgendwelche AMS Artikel brauchst - ich habe 1953-1990 hier.
    Grüße
    Uli

    Hi Uli, Danke für Dein freundliches Angebot - komme sicherlich noch irgendwann drauf zurück.

    In order to not becoming suspicuous of conquering this thread and converting it to German language: Uli (living nearly in the neighbourhood) offered information on the original Scheel co-driver seat and on his collection of period issues of AMS magazine.

    Gruß/Regards
    Fred

    too bad that fred is obviously no longer registered here. the two safari cars from uwe k. would be an (exciting) story of its own. especially the second car, which by a huge coincidence found its way to uwe (he once told me the story ...) I was able to help him with the restoration of this car years ago: he already had a complete safari and therefore also "pattern" of the recaro shells to be installed. so I was able to find two other suitable recaros for him at the time. as far as i know there were only three 2.7 safari cars but not so solid for complete cars.

    best
