    1973 911 S Radio Question

What were the factory radio's that would have been available in a 911 in 1973? I am restoring a 1973 S and when acquired, it had a later radio in it and I would like to go back to a period correct model. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Most of the US 73s were probably supplied with the Frankfurt as standard. The other US band radios would have been special options.

I was lucky enough to score a great Becker Europa on ebay. Works and lights up and has all the original manuals, diagrams, warranty card etc. Stored for 30 years, so the chrome is great and the buttons have only the faintest patina.

Sticker says Europa MU, serial J 751321 and the rear layout places it as an early version MU small body. And it's mono of course. The back looks like this. http://www.beckerautosound.com/Class...g_diagram.html

My LOA from Porsche in Stuttgart does not indicate a radio for my February 1973 build 911S. There was an aftermarket radio in the car when I bought it with two Sony speakers in the small door pockets (sigh...will have to re-cover those). No idea if there is a speaker under the grille in the dash yet.

I've found all kinds of info on the Blaupunkt Frankfurt models about serial number ranges and years. But can't seem to find anything on the Becker. As best I can tell this is period correct, but any help verifying that appreciated.
