Need the help of seat mounting hardware nerds - socket head screw questions.

Long ago, I tossed the original seat mounting hardware in favor of shiny pretty hardware from Home Depot. Dumb move. I have since been collecting original screws to replace them but not sure of all that I have.

There are three types shown. All are M6.

BILLY takes a 5mm allen with a threaded post length of 15mm

BOB takes a 5mm allen with a threaded post length of 20mm

THORNTON takes a 4mm allen with a threaded post length of 25mm plus has a self tapping end

I'm not sure THORNTON belongs in the mix. Please confirm.

I need to know where they all go as I didn't pull them from a car but rather a bin of hardware. See "positions". Seems to me I want the BILLYS to go into position A and the BOBS to go into positions B and C.

Also, no flat washers right? Just split parkerized washers?

    TIA.

Be cautious if you allow Thornton to go near the rear holes on the inboard side. We had to replace a fuel line on a '72 911 a while back because the customer thought longer bolts would be a good idea on his track car. It self-tapped right into the steel line which happens to be directly under the screw hole (A very expensive repair.) Thornton is too tall for this party- show him to the door (I believe that's where he belongs).

    Bob,

    Let's start with PET
    900 119 091 02 pan-head screw M6 X 15, quantity 12

    N 014 761 2 pan-head screw M6 X 12, quantity 28

And then if you have the optional and unobtanium seat riser installed, 900 119 027 02, pan-head screw M6 X 35, quantity 14.

    The washer is a N 012 026 3 lock ring 6, quantity 54. I think these are Form A wave washers.

There are six holes in the outboard plate and seven holes in each of the rails. So I think the 15mm screws go in the plates (2 x 6) and the 12mm screws go in each of the rails (4 x 7). 28 + 12 = 40 pieces

Much discussion has been made here of the screw heads and hex recess. Mine all have the thin head and M5 internal wrenching feature-- this is necessary to fit between the rails or in the recess and still look correct.

Best source of these is still Porsche, at least they have the right dimensions even though the headmark is incorrect.
