Date stamp in headlight bucket?? I searched and didn't find much

I was wondering if someone knows if the early 911s had a date stamp inside the headlight bucket or any other place on the fender? if they did what year did they stop stamping or did they. I have a 73 that does not appear to have a date stamp in the bucket but was told that there should be one. Anyone know?

    Thanks for the help.

As I remember, the lwb fenders were painted on the car so they didn't have to use the numbering system to make sure the parts went back on the correct car.

The numbers were put on to make sure they went back on the car they were fitted to after painting. I think logic would indicate there would be no number on a replacement fender unless the repairman put the number back on the new part. JMHO
