Wondered what happened to Milou . . . his activity here seemed to have dropped-off a lot, starting a few months back. His Porsche Automobilia thread is one of the more robust ones on our site. I mean . . . he's been systematically documenting tons of Porsche stuff I could have never guessed even existed. A great reference.

    So's that catalog.

Moving on, I guess. At least, given the results from some of the latest auctions . . . . looks like a good --- maybe even great --- time to sell.

    Hi Guys,

I'm still here and still passionate about Porsches!

A number of factors came into play: I moved to Paris last June as I was spending more and more time travelling for my job; I brought the collection with me and continued to collect but soon realized I was running in circles, as it was getting harder and harder to find interesting things.

I've decided that it was time to turn the page on the Automobilia and close that chapter by organizing an auction sale. I'm still keeping the two SWB I've restored, and hope to focus on earlier Porsches and other things as well.

It didn't feel right to box it all up and store it in the attic...the sale catalog will provide me with great memories and hopefully the proceeds will allow me to purchase something (porsche) special!

Oh no! You had to leave your lovely new Le Garage behind. That must have been difficult.

    Best wishes.

I am enjoying Milou's catalog, a remarkable collection and statement to his dedication to the marque. Made me harken back to a pic of my car in front of a good friend's place in Morges, summer of '68, enroute to the F1 at Monaco. PS - I also enjoyed conversing with Milou's rep at the Lit Show. -Richard

Thanks Guys, It's great you're enjoying the collection, it means a lot to me. I've always wanted to do a book on Porsche automobilia, but I never thought the sale catalogue would somewhat achieve that.

Yes, Porsche did produce a lot of stuff. It's funny because the brand is known for having based all its marketing on sports successes, and yet they clearly spent a lot of energy and time on designing cool brochures, posters, and high quality products.
