    How did you sleep that night knowing your great car is parked broadside inches away from a hammered Pontiac Transsport?

    Because that was my best friends Pontiac transport. that was at mid ohio at the vintage races. he brought camping gear and support equipment for one of our college classmates that was running a Devin there.

    that was the night that we made a fire in one of the empty trash barrels (had to be contained).. only to later see the paint peeled and it had a BP label underneath.. the smell billowing from it was horrible. I think i forever seared my lungs, and it took me a week to not have the smell of burning oil in my nostrils.

    but the beer was cold, the hot dogs tasted ok.. and being woken up at 7 AM by vintage trans am cars doing practice laps was worth it.

    @all,

    the daughters of George,
    Michelle and Melissa, have organized this small vid about George‘s 912 aka
    „Graufuchs“ and they had a nice photoshoot also done…

    and as a special addon -

    the car is now on BAT for sale…

    „This all-matching-numbers 1967 Porsche 912 Karmann coupe was picked up directly from the factory in Stuttgart, Germany by its first and only original owner (our late Dad, George Vaccaro) on June 16, 1967. Upon delivery, our parents toured and camped in Europe over the next 3 months visiting 10 countries and driving 6,000 miles. At the end of the summer, the intent was to ship the car back to San Francisco, California and sell it (to cover the cost of the trip), but Dad fell in love with it and that didn't happen. Instead, he kept the car in excellent condition inside and out as "received" over the next 54 years despite putting 189K miles on the car. His love affair continued for the rest of his life until his passing in February 2021. To help honor our Dad's legacy and pay tribute to this special Concours-winning slate grey Porsche, we (his daughters) are dedicated to properly documenting the car and its story before finding a new caretaker who we hope will love the car as much as he did. We will likely sell the Porsche via an online auction later this fall. To help us document the car, we hired these highly talented folks: Videographer, Stephen shot this video: https://www.instagram.com/gregoryimag... Photographer, Courtney took professional photos: https://www.instagram.com/misscourtne... Photographer, Kevin producing a more in depth video about the car's story: https://www.instagram.com/capturingth... We will post on this channel when the in depth car story video is ready to go. We also made an Instagram account to remember his beloved 912. More photos and video from his archives can be found there: https://www.instagram.com/graufuchs912/ Thanks for joining in the celebration of this beautiful car! Cheers, George's twin daughters - Michelle & Melissa“
