    Coil Mounting Hardware

I'm about to move my coil on my '68 S back to its' proper location on the electrical board, and I don't seem to have the correct hardware. What should I be using? Where can I obtain some. Thanks.

Well, you need a 60mm Bosch Coil clamp. Don't get the one from the blue coil, it's too small, you want the original diameter. These are not particularly rare although they all have rust. I think they are the same size as the 6V coils as well if that helps.

I have the coil clamp. I need to know what screws to use. I think there are speed nuts that go on the board. I'm just not sure.

Yes, there are speed nuts(clip nuts) that slip onto the board, the screw is a about a 5mm sheet metal screw (from memory) and will have a 10 mm hex head.

Thanks Ed. That's what I thought. Now to source those....

Here is a shot of the board so you can see the speednut locations

The little speednuts are form B 4,2

The big speednuts are also form B, 6,3- unlike the little ones they don't show the size they just have a + sign

These are cad plated and put on the board and the board painted black.

The little screws are "hexagon head tapping screw 4,2"

The big ones are "hexagon head tapping screw BZ 6,3 x 13"

Your 68 uses a ceramic ballast resistor instead of the metal can and a hardi pump instead of a german bendix.
