    Koni Gas Sport Shocks

I just had to change out both of my rear shocks. I had 30-1214 gas Hydraulic red shocks. One of them was leaking oil and since Koni has discontinued the red shops and is only producing the 30-1214 in Gas yellow Sport Shock.
I just put them on and they are quite a bit firmer than I had before. At this point they seem a bit too firm for my taste on a Targa especially since I am still running the Gas Hydraulic red fronts. Are the Bilsteins softer? Or is this as soft a gas shock as is available in the 2 brands? I want to stay gas so I don't have to reset my Tbars.

Yes they are but the lowest setting is 50% harder than the equivalent red. I set them at full soft. The other consideration is that my old ones were 25 years old so probably softer than they were new and my butt had gotten used to that Cadillac ride.

I don't think Bilsteins will be softer. I have Boge gas rears in my T. They are pretty comfy. You are welcome to check them out next weekend in Boerne.

I think that it takes shocks 300-400 miles to "settle in", I would drive the car a bit before making any decisions.

There's not much choice for me at this point, although I might send my old ones in to get rebuilt.

I have found that Bilstein green to be comfortable from the first mile.
I have found all "sport" shocks to be uncomfortable for the street.
The roads are pretty bumpy where I like to drive though.
