" back in the day" when the S Registry was a neopyte in the social car club circle, we used to meet up in Long Beach before the LB Grand Prix. That when it was still F1. I remember the couple showing up with that car. Created quite a buzz even back then. I'm sure CM can give you all the details.

    Thumbs up

    Curt is right,

This '67S Troutman & Barns creation has been metallic root beer brown for over 30 years.
As far as I know it is still owned by the same older couple that showed up for our first Early S Registry events almost 20 years ago..........

A couple of shots I took in '94......

In fact, that just might be Curtis talking to Dr. Bob Grant in the background of the second pic............

    Cheers

You are on top it Chuck. Very cool! Although, I'd certainly opt for the original green over the root-beer.

When my brother and I got to big to fit in the back seat if my dads 911 he bought another one for my mom to drive. He always mentioned the there were people in Texas who would cut the two cars together. Being a car guy kid I always thought that was an absurd idea. Now I wish he had done it.

    Just noticed this . . .

. . . the changes to the 4-door's bodywork are pretty obvious --- but check-out the front fenders

Look at the sheet-metal between the headlight and the bumper?

    Kinda 'wider,' huh?
