Help with SWB pressure plate identification

I found out I have two of these pressure plates, but have not managed to +ve ID the original application from searches made.

    Can anyone help please?
    Markings are 102 002 and 3 68

    Both attract a magnet.
    Both weigh 8lb,12oz

There looks to be extensive drilling.
What does a standard SWB pressure plate weigh?

Are there differences between normale and S?

looking forward to all help and advice

Chris - a std all-steel Sachs pressure plate for 2.0 swb weighs ~9.5 lbs (well, at least that's what a new one weighs) & a '69 S steel/alloy pressure plate weighs just under 7 lbs (I would expect the '67/'68 S pressure plate to weigh more or less the same).

I have seen the exact same drilling as on yours before - maybe it was the recognized way of trying to get an all-steel std p/plate down to a similar weight of the '67/'68 S pressure plate since those were unavailable for many years.

The drilling would also likely be to balance the unit in addition to weight saving. Yours matches pretty much my 68S plate...

Air goes in and out, blood goes round and round, any variation of this is a bad thing.
