    Early Model Year 68 Alternator Fan Housing Band Painted or Plated?

    Anyone know if the alternator fan housing band is painted or plated (Silver or Gold) for an early model year 68 2.0 USA?

    I'm in the final stages of a full restoration, body and engine being assembled now.

    Air goes in and out, blood goes round and round, any variation of this is a bad thing.
