Thread: anyone recognize this car cover?

    anyone recognize this car cover?

    came with a '67 912, apparently out of california. is this original to the car? shipping cover? early aftermarket? does the number seem like it might be cali license plate number from the sixties? any input much appreciated. I'm very curious.

    my $.02 is that the cover looks like one i bought years ago from beverly hills car cover, it has the same type lettering on the front,that reads "front" and the cover model#, the stitching and seams look identical to mine

    thanks Jim. that makes sense. I googled 'california black plate' and it looks like the painted number was likely a plate number.

    You bet, and the sequence is right for '67 as well................ My '67 Malibu is VCW 208
