1971 911S Sport Seats for sale

I have a set of sport seats that came out of my friends 1971 911S. He bought the 911S new and ordered the car from the factory with these seats. The seats have not been restored. They are the original seat covers. He took them out of the car after a year and replaced them with racing seats. There are a few flaws which I have photographed. The covers are basket weave centers with perforated vinyl bolsters. I restored the seat frames. They have been glass beaded and painted in single stage PPG. We used a flatening agent to give them the correct original finish. The adjuster were carefully removed and reinstalled for painting. They are beautiful. There is a sticker written in german on the driver's seat frame which I was able to remove and save (see picture). I have the seat tracks and all of the original hardware. I am asking $7500.00 or best offer.
Please email me or call 518-210-1869 with questions.

Am I reading that right. $7500.00. Just my opinion but I think that's crazy. But what do I know.

$7500 and 'a few flaws.' Really? I know I'm kinda new to the Porsche world, but holy crapper that seems very, very ambitious.

    Guys-
Don't you think that this gent is entitled to ask whatever he wants for these seats? Some other sites do not even allow comments in the classifieds so that deals do not get cratered by posts. Original sport seats are valuable. I am sure a ready buyer will have a meaningful discussion on the price.

    Well put, Minoclan.

Those are beautiful...one year of use, sheesh, how often do you see that?

    Good luck with your sale.

Great looking seats exceptionally rare, and priced accordingly. Those of you new to the hobby will learn soon enough that the asking on these is in line with previous sales.
Let's please keep the editorial comments regarding price over on the Bird. <- smiley face for levity

Best of luck with the sale.

Color me 'amazed' then. Not the first time I've seen something Porsche-related for sale and thought "Those are worth that?" I hope I never need $7500 seats, but I guess there are open-checkbook guys out there who'll do whatever it takes to make the restoration as close to perfect as possible. And if that's the going rate for high quality seats, then WOW!

If a person is dropping anything close to $7500 for a pair of sport seats for their 71 car, imagine what price they will be asking for their car if/when they sell it. Remember a high tide lifts all boats. I have two boats in the water

As a data point. the last NOS set that came up for sale was priced at $10,000. That was on my local Craigs list, perhaps he posted them for sale there and not here, to avoid a public discussion on what he should ask for them.
