Marine ply works really well Bob, you can steam it or clamp it and glue to shape.

If you really want it to last get a good piece of marine teak plywood. Specialty places online sell them in partial sheets. Or just go with solid teak and steam it or laminate it into place. Teak is VERY durable on it's own and is naturally rot resistant. Just doesn't paint really well due to the oils in it.

Thanks guys! The gentleman, John, who I bought the driver side from has kindly offered to make me a template of the passenger side. Think I am going to create an Illustrator/CAD file and have one cut here at work.

Also, I have someone else checking their stash for me for an original.

Passenger side is easy ... it's flat.

Driver's side is more involved because of the bend.

I was having them made for a while, but the cost wasn't worth it to me as nobody thought a piece of wood was worth paying for when the aluminun crap from Rennline is so cheap. Stoddard used to sell wood boards, but they called me a while back because they were looking for a new vendor; not sure they've got them anymore.

    Second birch.

I've got a couple spare blanks (bent). Though made in hoop pine. Plantation grown.

I made a passenger one years ago and didn't realize the template was wrong at the time. This is just one of those details I want to correct on my second pass of the interior. If anyone can copy their SWB couple passenger floor board fro me then that would be great. I suspect it's going to take me awhile to find a nice OE sample.

I really hate the aluminum ones. Every few years I take my original ones out and refinish them. Since I seldom drive the car in the rain and have a climate controlled garage this might be sort of stupid but what else am I going o do in my spare time?

Bob, FWIW I pulled out my driver's side pedal board for another project and took some photos. Florescent lights, but I think the white balance is correct here. Hope this helps.

I think my clutch stop will clean up, but I found a NOS one just in case. However, does anyone know a source for the bottom retaining clips?
