    Canepa 73 RS

Anybody know anything about the RS that I see on Canepa's website. Think its a new car for him.
Anybody call on a price or know the history on this car,

You mean the yellow one? VIN: 9113600969. Swiss delivery, M471, no further options. Original color: 626211 (light yellow).

Yes that's the car. Think its the only one he has unless he got another one today which is possible knowing Canepa, seems to always get some nice cars. Guess I might have to call and ask about the price if nobody knows what it is. Like to know if its more than the last one he had. Thanks for the info.

The only place I have seen this RS is on this site.

The photo shows no side graphics and 6 and 7" Fuchs, which is likely the configuration of the Carrera when it was delivered. Looks very nice now.

Oh, now I know this car. I am almost 100% certain this is the RS that was in G & W 'for sale' tent at the first Rennsport held at Daytona. My friend Randy S and I crawled all over this car and you are right Hugh, this car was a time capsule when we saw it.

One memory that vividly stands out is what the door felt like and the sound it made when I opened and closed them. They were so light and made the loudest 'ping' sound I had ever heard. I had the same experience years later when I examined RSH 508 at Curt's house. Both these cars confirm the homologation story of the RS as the metal seemed like an AL can when you pushed on areas like the roof and the middle of the doors. Hopefully no one has screwed this car up by 'restoring' anything.
