Gibbs Brand Oil - Need Favour

    Hi Guys

I've been chasing Gibbs Brand over here for some years and finally there is a distributor here. http://www.gibbsbrandaustralia.com.a...p?a=1772&s=420 If you search these boards you can see how highly rated it is for alloy and magnesium preservation.

Only drama is that I can't get is shipped up for less than $50 (I only want a litre) because of its hazmat rating - flammable (low level) so courier only. So if anyone is coming up to Brisbane from Sydney and can throw a litre in their car/truck for me it would be hugely appreciated... I can get it delivered to you.

    Cheers

The web link shows a dealer on the Sunshine Coast, surely it can't cost $50 from there?

Ps I can share shipping if we get 2 litres.

Apparently no Qld dealer now... I was offered the distributorship

More than happy to defray the cost. The $50 is a flat rate, so a couple more people would really make it worthwhile... Any Queenslanders lurking?

    Hi Guys

I hit a wall up here getting Gibbs Brand due to the crazy freight charges because it is flammable. Minimum charge was $50 for freight plus the cost of the Gibbs.

The distributors have offered me a lifeline by having a colleague driving up for Easter holidays. I've been offered $15 freight to cover her trouble - so I'll be buying a litre regardless.

So Cane Toads, did anyone want me to order you some Gibbs? Jump on the site for size and cost, but a litre is $88 inc GSTand it goes down from there. If there's enough interest, maybe I can get the price down some more - or even buy a drum and decant - you just provide a bottle? I have until tomorrow arvo to get back to them...

I'm just doing it because I want it - I'm not out to make a buck out of you and only want to share cost.

    Some feedback

This one is less positive, but balanced

My intended uses are bead and soda blasting fuchs and fan and will be used in another pending restoration project.

If you're definitely sure you want some, email me at typ901 at me dot com - it's my new Apple address and I want to try it Tell me what size you're after 100ml, 500ml, or 1 litre and a phone number for you if I don't already have it. Delivery will be to me in Brisbane, but I can probably help out getting small amounts up and down the coast. Need to know by tomorrow guys.

    Cheers
