    Thumbs up VARA at Willow...

    Lars and I tool a trip out to Willow Springs last Sunday for the VARA / SCCA F/F and F/2000 weekend.

    It seems that even SCCA (CalClub in this Region) sometimes splits the expense with another race assoc.

    I will say it was the windiest I have EVER experienced out there in the last 46 years !!!!!!!!!

    The cold wind was coming out of the southwest head on right up the front straight and slowing the relative times a remarkable 5 to 7 seconds a lap off the pace!!!!!!

    In one race a gust came up and blew a car right off the infamous turn 9 a spun it into the desert!!!!!!!!
    Actually not that hard to do when barley hanging on against the centrifugal force of turn 9's closing radius.



    But the racing went on........ even the small formula cars

    Fred is your S Registry's data base guy and one of the four advisers that help run your club...

    At the end of of the day Fred put his son in the car and they won the class...... Cheers Fred.....
