    1970 Group 3 Pantera

    Check out this bad boy. For sale at $199,000: the first factory Grp 3 Pantera - and no ugly wings and flares like the later Group 5 cars. There's a crapload of vintage pics on their website:

    Super cool, but I'd rather have the Lancia.

    As an aside, the picture of the mechaic sitting in the truck working on the engine reminds me of how I used to work on my 914-6. I'd take the rear trunk lid off and sit in the trunk...

    I was going to comment on the mechanic sitting in the engine bay. That is always the joke about big American cars. I guess Italian cars with American engines also follow that trend.

    That's a nice car..... the closer to stock the better...

    However.....

    The Group 4 Panteras wern't too bad.....

    This one driven by Regazzoni was one of the only cars to give the RSR's a run for their money for the '73 GT Championship.....
