Thermal Club in Palm Springs area

They are finally going to turn a shovel on the long awaited high end car racing country club, the plans look awesome with several track configurations, clubhouse and even karting.

The membership at the very high end would include the right to build your own pit lane facility, the ulltimate bad boy hangout. Once built I am sure it is only a question of time till they start renting out track days to enthusiasts and groups.

It would be great to have an Autobahn like club within a couple hours striking distance of anywhere in SoCal, heck in Palm Springs I could even get the wife to come, Willow Springs not being her favorite destination.

I hope they build it and hope they invite the public...
Today the best track surface in So Cal is only 60 minutes from Thermal.
Till they build Thermal you should give Chuckwalla a try sometime, you might like it a lot.

I drove around the Thermal Club site last week while Visiting my Mom in La Quinta , It looks like a Very Impressive Facility ! .... The Block Wall they are building around sections of the Track ( I assume to contain the Noise ? ) is Damm impressive on it's own !! .... Looks to be close to a Mile of 30'+ CMU Block Wall w/ Steel Pipe Kickers supporting it .... "The Great Wall of Thermal" ......

A few early Porsches enjoyed 4 - 45 minute sessions on the Thermal club track.
The private facility is full service with many friendly employees.
In the hot pit employees check your air pressure and clean your windshield too.
A very modern facility with beautiful homes built on and above the surrounding sound wall.

Nice. I wonder if they have reciprocity with Autobahn members?
