    Most say that this great lady is the reason..... the ONLY reason, that Unser went up The Mountain the following year in a bigger/badder AUDI to re-capture the title........

    I hear people close to him couldn't believe what came out of his mouth about that 'women' (not the word he used) and that French women at that!!!!


    I was also shocked buy the Vintage Motorsport article a few years ago about Unser's AUDI run without ANY mention of Michele's record run the year before......... and I called Randy Riggs about it. Randy's response was that I was one of several that had called and emailed complaining about the article.

    There is only one Michele Mouton... I remember when I saw her when she wons Sanremo Rally with Fabrizia Pons in 1981!!!

    Must have been a slow paced training run since helmets were not needed! An extraordinary driver regardless of gender.
