Thanks for the compliments, Magnus! Was fun to meet you and see your Irish green '66 when you came to see #278 last weekend. I just called you about the pepita seat swap we talked about.

The auction has gotten off to a great start. Can't wait to see the level to which the next owner will take #278!

Very, very nice early 911! And a wonderful and special color (from the 356 color programme?)! Maybe the best color I have ever seen on a serie 1 SWB. Good luck with the sale!!

It looks to be in good condition? It will certainly reflect its originality and quality if it is left in this condition, just carefully fix the issues that are bad/broken. Cars like this tells a great and importent Porsche history and keep all the small details from the production in early 1965 for the future.

Proffesionaly restored cars are for the eyes, original untouched cars like this is for the heart!

Yeah, that was my dilemma with this car and why I decided to sell...it's not quite nice enough to enjoy as it is with that chipped up repaint that isn't quite the correct color. It's a perfect base though for a great restoration...but a great restoration costs $100k+ like on that RM auction car.

This same previous owner has a '66 911 in slate gray with red vinyl that has been in his family since new. I have a deposit on it and will pay for it after I get the money from this one. That car is already a *very* nice driver...will post pics of it once it gets home.
