    Turn signal housing- what exterior finish is correct?

    I'm restoring my turn signal housings per this thread http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...signal+housing

    Is the exterior finish the same as the inside- a gloss silver? Car is a 1973 911 RS. Thanks for the help!

    I don't think there is any exterior finish as such, it seems to me it is just the dull color of the metal out of the mold.

    Thanks. I'll probably try to finish it in some kind of metallic grey that approximates the pot metal. I have a couple of tiny holes that need to be filled so I need to put some kind of paint on it.

    I can't remember but i think it was the cast metal one but have a look at there site
