New Product from Auto Foreign, correct black wiper blades for 68 to 73.....

Well, there's been a few tries at this that I have seen, but I wanted something a bit closer, and also reasonably priced.

These are virtually exact copies of the original SWF wiper blades that came on our cars from 1968 to 1973.

Yes, you can run down to the local auto parts store and buy a black blade, but like all my other items, let's get as close to OEM as possible and make it reasonable to buy as well.

Aside from the SWF logo in the one picture... can you tell the difference? It's sooo slight. The top rivet is black, the two on the end are silver just like OEM. Rivets are round on both sides as well, just like OEM.

Pricing not yet determined, but certainly about the same as going down to the local auto parts store and buying something in a package that will "fit" but isn't correct.

Figure about 6 weeks... I just approved this final sample (it took a few tries) and they need to produce them.

Thank you! Note that the 64-67 silver wiper arms and blades are in the production phase as well... that's another thread. What else is close behind... correct engine sound pad?

    cheers,
    Eric

A couple of detail pictures of the plastic cap on the "shoulder" where the two pieces join, and then the opening details where the wiper arm joins.

Very cool Eric! As I've actually had someone criticize my modern SWF blades , I'll surely be in for a pair when they are ready.

the pin or stud or rivet where the top arm and bottom blade are put together should not be painted black. I had the originals on my 1970 and that pin or whatever should be metal/unpainted to be concours correct

I didn't know you were the first owner of your car.....

I've got a box of about 100 (at least) used original SWF black blades, MOST of them have a black rivet on top only a couple have silver... so that was my choice, though I did consider doing the top rivet as "silver" as well. If you buy a pair, There's no issue in scraping off the black paint from that rivet. As I recall, your car was changed from a sporto to a 5 speed...but you don't think that your wiper blades could have been changed along the way

    Clyde,

I have considered doing these wiper arms as well, as I know that they should have that pronounced "arc". If the demand is there I will do them.

Thanks for all the props guys!
