Thanks guys...the 911 story was fun to do. I have lots of photos to size and get up on the page. I'll keep up-dating it. But, work comes first. :-(

I'm now starting to work on a story from a fellow who's dad was on the Bonneville 1935 Bluebird team when they passed the 300mph mark.

My friend and mechanic Bill Erickson did that race in 2007 in a 1925 Buick. One of my favorite races to follow. Such an adventure. Anyone want to invite me to crew?

Great detail about the preparation of the car, John! I followed the 2007 race with interest and can't wait to follow your updates on this adventure. A good friend drove a press-Cayenne in Mongolia during the Trans-Siberia a few years ago and came back raving about the scenery. I can only imagine what it will be like to be self-contained in a 48-year old 911 for a month -- with any luck they will only be spending a few nights sleeping on the ground and without modern conveniences...
