Looking for correct radio for 1968 911S

Does anyone have info on the correct radio that was available on a 1968 911S? I want to dump the aftermarket radio a previous owner installed and want to make sure I purchase the correct radio.

For US cars usually a Blaupunkt was installed... Frankfurt, Koln or New Yorker, typically.

Since the 1968 S was not sold in US the above radios are not correct. Too late and too tired after 36 hours of ambulance shifts to look up info now, will post later, on the correct Euro radios. Good news is, having new Blaupunkt radios with Euro bands available I can tell you that they also work in US. This means, that while my new Bremen in my SAturn is definately not correct, the Euro radio that is correct will still pick up US stations.

Blaupunkt:
Bremen AM/LW - don't have a photo
Frankfurt AM/FM/LW/SW
Koln AM/FM/LW signal seeking

Becker:
Monte CArlo AM/LW
Europa AM/FM/LW/SW
Grand Prix AM/FM/LW signal Seeking.

The MOST correct factory installed radio for a '68S ROW (only kind of S that year) would be a Blaupunkt Frankfurt with dial and buttons like this below. The knobs would, however, be soft rubber as shown second (on a U.S. dial radio). Thanks.

Are you sure about the knobs being rubber? Only reason I ask is that I too will be needing a replacement radio eventually and all the other knobs in my 68 are hard plastic without the rubber covers, which I have verified is correct.

I just looked at a number of 68S from my picture data base. Looks like the early MY '68 cars have tulip knobs as pictured in the first shot. However, later cars (not sure when) there was a cut-over to the soft rubber. The soft rubber was introduced (mandated?) on U.S. cars for MY 1968. And it looks like it was cut-in for ROW cars later in the '68 model year. Generally speaking, the radio knob (plastic or soft rubber) should match the other knobs on the dash. Thanks for the correction.

Thanks! Mine is SN 1234, with production completed date 7/24/68 if that helps for the database. All plastic knobs, no rubber.
