Scouting the Best Driving Roads - Southern California

I thought it would be nice to start a thread highlighting the best driving roads here in California. Since we live in a very large and long state, we can separate the Northern and Southern California geographic areas.

Maybe we can all contribute with photos, aerial maps, points of interest, comments, notes, places to eat, hotels/accommodations, even suggested part/repair shops for the rural areas (in case of the unexpected). I'm sure over time this could be a great reference source.

I'll start with a not so obvious location, the Palomar Mountains located in Northern San Diego County...

The Palomar Mtn drive is just great, I do it fairly often; but watch out for local LE, these twisties are well known to many car and motorcycle enthusiasts. There is a loop road off of the E Grade road on the S side of Palomar Mtn, toward Lake Henshaw. Its called Mesa Grande Rd. Its 6 or 7 miles of pure goodness. Also, drive Couser Canyon Road, another favorite. Nick

Palomar Mountain Road is one of quite a few good back country North and East San Diego County roads.

San Felipe Road and Montezuma Val Road to Borrego Springs is fun and scenic as well.

Thanks to Magnus I have been able to discover quite some of the good driving roads surrounding the LA area.. I have to say that Little Tujunga Canyon Road was high on my list of favourites. It's east of the San Fernando Valley. I might have a video somewhere also (where I f***ed up my transmission.... Haha!!).

No idea why this screen shot comes out so small... I made it 1000px wide...
