    Scouting the Best Driving Roads - Northern California

    Same objectives as the thread started for "Scouting the Best Driving Roads - Southern California", but I will reiterate...

    It would be nice to start a thread highlighting the best driving roads here in California. Since we live in a very large and long state, we can separate the Northern and Southern California geographic areas. I would also suggest doing the same for areas in other states across this great country.

    Maybe we can all contribute with photos, aerial maps, points of interest, comments, notes, places to eat, hotels/accommodations, even suggested part/repair shops for the rural areas (for the unexpected).

    I'm sure over time this could grow to be a great reference source...

    Starting from Healdsburg, drive northerly along Dry Creek Road till you get to go a bit West on Skaggs Spring Road, then follow North again along Lake Sonoma on Rockpile Road then head west to a dead end that overlooks the lake on Kelly Road. You'll need to take a short hike to the view the lake. Make sure you have plenty of fuel.
