FS: Yellow Marchal Amplilux SWB lights

Ok, like a lot of ideas and projects we see on this board I was inspired by my pal Bob Tilton on the lights you see here. I spent several months assembling all the bits and pieces to end up with this plug and play set of SWB buckets with the really cool yellow Marchal Amplilux lights. I ran them for a while on my car, and while I really like them, my car is a 73 and my H4's kept calling me back...Here's what I got:

--Yellow Marchal Amplilux headlights. They are in excellent condition; probably always behind external lenses.

--SWB buckets. The buckets and 2 retaining rings (per side) were sourced from Werk Crew, Ebay and a dismantler. I had to dig to get nice stuff, then I stripped them and repainted all these parts.

-- Lenses. Ebay and Samba. I wanted perfect glass lenses with the raised SB19 SB20 SB21 lettering. I must have bought 6 or 7 lenses and ended up with one great one. the other has the lettering on the inside, but it was the last part I needed so I went with it, and its fine. Finding that perfect lens will give your internet browsing and swap meet wandering some purpose.

--Chrome Rings. Scavenged from a new set of Czech H4's that had a rock demo a lens and reflector. The chrome is perfect, but its off a newer remake of the H4's. The old chome looks "softer" to me, but only when you hold them side by side.

-- Hardware. Again, thank you Bob Tilton for sending me rubber tubing that I cut to size for the swivels and grommets. The adjusting screws and other bits mostly came from the H4's.

These are really nice lights, the output from the Marchal's is great. Give your car a new look. It take one screw per side to swap them out; 10 minutes total.photo 1.jpgphoto 3.jpgMA2.jpgphoto 2.jpgMA1.jpg

    $850, plus shipping.

Craig-- I'm sorry to say that it took David Glenn (hezaputz) about 30 minutes to phone me and buy the lights for his 67 Targa. Still in the family at least. Thanks though. Nick

Thank god someone bought these! I think I was the first person to view Nick's post and I almost snagged them for a car I don't even have yet. Saved me $800... which I will gladly find another outlet for.
    Sweet lights Nick!

Kent- God, that makes me happy to hear...I have a small stash of parts for a car that I don't have yet either. And Harry, I need to join you in the 12 step program; but I'll be in the steering wheel section....

That's exactly what my workbench looked like 6 months ago with all the bits and pieces to put those lights together
My car was registered in California 6+ years ago, but as it was a French delivered model I still retain the yellow H4's and driving lights. I never swapped the French plate off the front, and once in a while I put the rear plate on the back for a show or an event.
