Definitive '73 RS Lightweight M471 Paint Location Thread ??

This is my infantile understanding of how it was done:
"Body color everywhere, then painted black underneath the outer rockers, on the dash, interior tunnel and inner rockers?"

So it had a body color trunk, and Body color engine compartment right ?

My '70 was black in the trunk, engine compartment and underside, and I believe this is how it was done up to 1972.

What I am not completely sure about is how it was done in 1973, and if the 911T/E/S were the same as the RSL?

Many thanks to all you wise and knowledgeable souls out there. . !

    Best,
    Scott

Scott, I took this picture of a concours restored '73 RS a few years ago showing the paint line... YMMV.

My 1973 RS has the paint color in the engine bay and my 1970 S has the engine bay painted black. I think your understanding is correct.

Does anyone know if the 1973 RSR was painted the same way?
