Paint code id tag > progression

I assembled the clip below to show the slightly different format paint / body id tags for the drivers (LHD) door jamb.
    Reading clock-wise from top left, think it goes;
    65-66MY
    67MY
    68MY
    69MY...>

    Would that be correct?

1969 Porsche & Karmann and the infamous 1969 silver
Note the lack of a VIN on the tag.

    1970 Porsche & Karmann
The Porsche tag looks like a heavy decal.

From 1972 this version was used.
The middle digit is a factory designation.
We are not certain of 8, but it was usually found on the RS models
    The Porsche factory was 9.

Do you think that the decal was maybe a replacement? It looks like a later paint tag.
If not, it is the first early car that I have seen with the decal.

Nope, I have lots of examples. That is the standard tag for much of 1970.

So the decal is early 70 Porsche body? I'll add that to my originality profile list.

    Thanks, H
