    Bosh Coil 0221119030 for 1969 911s 119301031

I am looking for a replacement coil for this car that was delivered june 1969. I found in the Bosh catalog that 0221119030 Porsche part number 90160250201 is the one to use and a lot cheaper than 0221121001 Porsche part number 90160250200.

Do you know what is the correct coil?

    Regards!

The 001 coil is the only correct one for a 69S with CDI. The Coil you list, the 030, is an inductive coil, not a CDI coil. If you use it with your CDI ignition you will have too much ignition voltage, as the "turns ratio" of the "red coil" (which is what the 030 actually is) is a lot higher than the original CDI. Excess ignition voltage will lead to component breakdown and strand you at roadside.

What you really want is a used, tested (per the specs in my thread above) BLACK CDI coil made in Germany. These are $50-100 depending on cosmetic condition. Plenty of them around in garages when guys "upgrade" to a lesser system.

Thanks for the explanation! Porsche listed the 030 coil as a correct coil for a 69 snd later changed it to the 001.

An 030 is correct for a 911T with kettering ignition, but that's not what you need.
