There's probably more cars going through Denny Akers shop (Akers Auto) than any other in Seattle, they've been doing it for over 40 years. Mark runs the shop now, Denny still wrenches a few days a week. Between the two of them they probably own at least a dozen early 911's, and 2 dozen 356's. Mark just got a "new" 69S driver last week. 206 329-5253 from memory... They are in central Seattle, on Capital Hill on Broadway.

In Bellevue, Chris's German Auto service, Chris Powell (former Bayside racing mechanic, does all of Randy Wells work and also Roads Scholars).

In Redmond, Redmond European, Monte is the owner. I have an engine in his shop as we speak. (I have a car at Denny Akers as sell, I spread my work out a little...).

feel free to call to discuss...

+1, I should have remembered him, I was in his shop just two weeks ago! He's going to start soon on a referral I sent his way on a 914/6 as a matter of fact...

Denny Aker did a PPI on a 1960 cab some years ago that I bought in Seattle. Back in the early 70's when a 1965 SC coupe was my dailey driver he was the Porsche shop to go to in Seattle Last time I visited his 9000 sf hobby shop he had 19 356 cars including 4 speedster "projects" to keep him busy in retirement. Plus of course a number if 911's.

All good, solid recommendations. Mark Akers can sound a little frazzled because he doesn't have somebody to take care of the phones, but I've found him to be solid, fair, and very reliable. Denny, his dad, comes in and helps out at times. Often on Fridays and I suspect mostly for the fun of it.

Chris (Chris' German) is top notch. I like him a lot, although he can sometimes take longer than you are led to expect. Unfortunately, he's not as convenient for me as he used to be. (My fault, not his.)

Monte (Redmond Euro) is a great guy and VERY fair to work with. He takes care of some local racers.

John Walker's been around a long time and has a great rep, too. No personal experience, but I wouldn't hesitate to use him.
