    69 Non RS

    Hi All,

I bought my 69 912 for the all of the suspension mods and because it had a strong 3.0 SC engine wiht Webers. I love the car and the way it performs, but the PO gave it an RS look with a duck tail, front RS bumper, and graphics. However, he did not change the rear fender flares. I like the RS look but wanted something different. So, I installed a stock deck lid and front bumper and removed the graphics. I have a set of 7x16 Fuchs that are stripped to bare aluminum that will be installed shortly. I will also remove the black paint from the engine grill, and the front and rear glass trim.

One reason for the change is that I bought the car for autocross, and the ducktail is of zero value on the AX course, but the added points would bump me up into a higher class. Also, I prefer the clean lines of the 901 without the additional aero stuff.

Here are a couple of before and after pictures.

    Hi Kevin,

Yes, the mirrors are coming off. I'm considering installing Raydyots. And the color is a light green.
