Routing for earth wire on fuel nozzle

    Hello all,

Can't find my notebook with my notes on the routing of the earth wire from the top of the fuel fill nozzle in the front wing/fender. I know one end goes on the metal tab on the filler pipe, but exactly how the other end gets to a good earth on the body escapes me.

Description would be good, a photo even better.

Also, does anyone know when the rubber flap around the nozzle was first used - presumably to be flipped out to protect the wing from the gas pump nozzle?

    Thanks
    Mick

As soon as you admit defeat and ask a question a photo leaps into view.
    Problem solved!

I think they used the flap since the very first 911
