Haha....it is a PERFECT lid. But I got a good deal on it myself. Just need enough to get that 930.

Craig- Are you buying a 76 or still thinking about my 78? Let me know, I think my car would be perfect for you.

Good for you, Craig --- playing it forward . . . totally understand

I just happen to think that the alu lids are one of those signature bits that make the old Ss so special--- not like a spoiler or flare --- not really something to look at, per se . . . more to feel . . . like when I close it, feel the thing kinda give a little as my hands push on it, then quietly click 'home'. . . so . . . hhhh

I have a ragged one hangin' on the wall, kind of a souvenir . . . waiting

Still thinking about your 78? I can't STOP thinking about that thing!!

I've had to re-evaluate what I think my car is worth, it's not easy to sell a project and I'm willing to deal if I can get a 930 sooner than later. I'm very impatient, ask anyone who knows me. I just don't think I can scrape enough together to buy your car. Also, if I manage to hold onto the 76 that I'm buying...I think it will be worth more in the future than a pumped up 78. But definitely not as fun!

Totally agree! I have a buddy that just pops his release and the deck lid raises on it's own. Geez...do I really want to sell this lid?? Someone buy it before I change my mind, it would be nice on my 70T!

'At's what mine does . . . wiggles/flutters just a little, goin' up. Only has/takes one (old) hood shock. Closing it, I push on the that side --- then just steady the other. Thing looks like metal . . . feels too light --- like a Big Gulp lid

Really. What is that worth? People talk about the 'ping.' What about that soft/airy/whispery/little. . . . 'click'?
